Nestled in the Kalimpong hills of West Bengal lies a small village called Yelbong, a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Just 3 hours from Siliguri or New Mal Junction station, Yelbong is accessible via an 18 km drive to Bagrakot followed by a 7 km stretch.
This offbeat destination, shrouded by the valleys and fog of the Himalayas, offers an adrenaline-filled adventure like no other. Yelbong boasts of cascading waterfalls, dense jungles, and a butterfly lover’s paradise. The main draw, however, is the Yelbong River Canyon Cave – a 2 km long river canyon cave, the only one of its kind in North Bengal.
